Coming up with delicious and nutritious meals that now not only have elements that meet the palate of my 21 month and 4 year old, but also accommodate my mother’s gluten free, dairy limited, and nut free (amongst other allergies) diet and my father and husband’s love for gluten can be trying but we have come to find most meals can be modified without having to create completely different dishes for everyone.Read More

Our preschoolers head back to school on Monday and we are extremely excited and sad at the same time! We have had a great summer exploring our surroundings, but welcome the routine and community the school year will bring.
This summer we aimed for one "field trip" a week, not breaking the bank, and building lasting memories! Check out 11 of our summer favorites to inspire your Bay Area adventuring with kids in tow.
Side Note: Yes, the Bay Area Museums can get really pricey! We chose to ask for memberships to our favorite places from family for the kids birthdays and Christmas (experiences are always better than adding to the pile of toys that they hate cleaning up and don't need anyway). We share memberships with my parents for the SF Zoo and Monterey Aquarium (my mom is the listed adult on one, I on the other, and we have 1-2 guest passes for other adults to join as well) and all the kids/grandkids are free. It has made it really easy for extended family and friends to join us on fun outings as well!
