Vintage rentals are such a unique trend! Vintage chairs for the bride and groom at the head table or guest of honor, upholstered couches and benches in lieu of chairs, and antique accent pieces make a unique statement that shows off a couple’s style. Consider visiting a vintage rental shop like Pieces by Violet to find the picture-perfect touch that brings out your personality for your bridal shower or wedding day celebration!

We had the opportunity to participate in our first bridal show event this last weekend. It was such a fun experience and allowed us to meet so many beautiful brides. But more than brides, we had the opportunity to meet some lovely people in the bridal industry here on the peninsula. I know, this is a bay area post, but for those of you reading outside the area, this post still has a lot of great information. It has been 7 years this June since I got married, and being back in the trenches with all the options and bridal booths reminded me of how confusing and daunting planning a wedding can be. I was reminded of these 3 things that are important to a wedding that are often overlooked; a fun bachelorette party, day of coordination and music.
1. Bachelorette Party
My little sister actually planned my bachelorette party for me, which was amazing! But I know she struggled with coming up with fun and creative ideas that were appropriate for a mixed age group of girls. I happened to run into an awesome vendor that has the perfect solution for this problem! Create Mix & Mingle is a paint and sip studio and wine bar which offers a great place to host your bachelorette party. Enjoy hanging out with your girlfriends while drinking wine and creating a customized painting with guided help. This is such a fun idea! Not only is it a great idea, the owner Deb is awesome!
2. Day of Coordination
This is maybe the most important thing for a wedding, but probably the easiest thing to forget! I planned my own wedding and since I had planned weddings in the past, I thought I knew everything! However, even I forgot this. I was so busy planning everything out step by step, I forgot that I could not coordinate my big day on my own. I needed someone there to tell everyone when it was time to walk down the aisle, make sure all the vendors arrived and executed my vision, and generally make sure things run perfectly. This is why it is important to hire someone like the awesome ladies at Ambrini Events! We had the privilege of being booth neighbors to the awesome ladies that run this company. They are creative, fun, calm yet assertive, and have an organized approach to weddings; EVERYTHING you need in a wedding day coordinator!
I know I might be the only one that forgot about music, but on the off chance that I am not, I thought I would add this point. I was so busy planning the decorations, food, flowers, that I left music to the last minute. Luckily my brother-in-law stepped up and took this off my plate, but if it wasn’t for him, our wedding would have lacked music. :-( A great DJ or Band who can emcee and provide entertainment is a gem! They will keep your event moving forward and ensure everyone has a good time. If you are looking to party and want guests to dance the night away with you, make sure you find a DJ like Have a Party Pros. They know how to keep the good times rolling and will keep your guests on the dance floor until the venue shuts down.
